United States D4 Evaluation
To provide EPA with environmental monitoring data on D4 to complete its proposed assessment of the material, members of SEHSC worked with EPA to design and wholly fund a monitoring program to assess levels of D4 in the environment and produce exposure data the agency needed to conduct a thorough and scientifically sound risk assessment of D4.
In September 2017, members of SEHSC submitted the final results of its D4 environmental monitoring program to EPA.
An independent peer-reviewed study of the monitoring program data concluded that D4 poses negligible risk to the environment and that no regulatory restrictions for D4 are warranted.
